Jeff Bartlett
Mr. Bartlett most recently worked for HPS Partners, Apollo and Guggenheim Partners focused on private debt and equity investments within the energy sector. Mr. Bartlett has over 25 years experience in the energy industry, where he was a member of the oil & gas finance team for Enron Corp., an investment banker for Merrill Lynch and a Petroleum Engineer for ARCO. Mr. Bartlett earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas and a M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas.
Brian Nelson
Mr. Nelson, in addition to being a founder of Pontem Energy Group (“PEG”), is the lead manager of PEG’s initial fund “Pontem Energy Partners I”.
Mr. Nelson’s career spans over two decades, principally in senior executive roles with public and private oil and gas companies. He has expertise in corporate finance, financial reporting, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate planning, and commodity price hedging through financial and physical derivatives. Mr. Nelson has worked on and/or led over $11 billion in total transactions, including institutional bond and leverage loans for ATP Oil & Gas (“ATP”) and Energy & Exploration Partners (“ENXP”), volumetric production payments (i.e., “VPPs”) for ATP & Great Western Oil & Gas, and mezzanine debt and equity facilities for multiple companies. Mr. Nelson earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Texas at Austin and Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University.
